Michael J. Wasicko – Attorney Bio
Michael “Mike” J. Wasicko brings a unique set of skills to The Joel Bieber Firm, with an educational background that includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Mike worked as a research scientist at Dartmouth, University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. In a search for better ways to apply his scientific knowledge, Mike obtained his J.D. and, for nearly 20 years after graduation from law school, Mike has defended pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and hospitals as a defense attorney.
Mike left private practice to work in the Office of Chief Counsel of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There, Mike gained extensive experience involving the statutory schemes that regulate “the safety, efficiency, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.”
Now, Mike brings that experience to The Joel Bieber Firm to represent individuals. His knowledge and experience helps us in our pharmaceutical and medical device practice, and allows him to effectively represent personal injury clients.
When not wearing his “attorney uniform,” Mike enjoys boating and fishing with his wife, Colleen; and his children Melissa, Katie, Natalie and Michael, as well as his English Setters, Fenway and George. Mike also enjoys playing ice hockey, cooking, and baking. He will be primarily working in our Maryland Office.
