Natalie Douglas

Natalie DouglasNatalie Douglas has dedicated much of her life to serving the public, and her choice of work has made Hampton Roads a safer place to live. Born and raised in the area, Natalie served in the United States Coast Guard after graduating from Western Branch High School. She then joined the Portsmouth Police Department and served as a detective in the department’s Special Victims Unit, apprehending child abusers and sex offenders. Now Natalie practices out of our Virginia Beach office, serving all of Virginia.

Natalie is a first-generation college graduate who earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice as well as her Juris Doctor degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach. While earning her law degree, she was invited to work on the Regent University Law Review by qualifying and recognized in the top 20% of her law class. Natalie has also had the opportunity to work with several judges both during and after law school. During law school, she was a Federal Court judicial intern for the Honorable Robert J. Krask of the Eastern District of Virginia and the Honorable Glen A. Huff of the Court of Appeals of Virginia. Upon graduating, Natalie was selected to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Clifford L. Athey, Jr. of the Court of Appeals of Virginia. She continued serving the Commonwealth of Virginia as an attorney after she completed her clerkship. Natalie is a proud member of the Virginia State Bar. She belongs to the American Association for Justice and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Natalie’s experience in criminal law litigation helped her hone her negotiation and trial skills, and her experience investigating serious cases as a law enforcement officer gives her unparalleled insight as an attorney. She brings this unique knowledge and experience to her preparation for each case and is passionate about achieving the best results for her clients. She is currently representing the injured for the firm; but she also is serving on our Sexual Assault Practice Team.

On the personal side, Natalie loves being with her family, being active around water, playing video games with her children, listening to music, being a car enthusiast, watching football, and painting. She is particularly passionate about mental health care for veterans, suicide prevention, and sexual abuse prevention.
